You have a Choice

Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between life and death, between prosperity and disaster. For I command you this day to love the Lord your God and to keep his commands, decrees, and regulations by walking in his ways. If you do this, you will live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you and the land you are about to enter and occupy." (Deuteronomy 30:16-17, NLT)

Moses was providing instructions to the Hebrews prior to their entrance into the Promised Land. He admonishes them multiple times that they have a CHOICE. A Choice between life and death; blessings and curses; prosperity and calamity. Simply put, live your life as God desires and created you for, or suffer.

We have a Choice in everything we encounter and our Choices have consequences. Every Choice will have an outcome. The outcome might seem pleasing at the moment, but if it is the wrong Choice, it will become detrimental to our life. A thief feels good in pulling off a robbery, until they are caught and serve jail time. One might feel justified in hating another because they are different, until they are eventually hated by others. A constant eating of garbage food, might be satisfying at the moment, but when a multiplicity of diseases attack our body......Choices.

The best part about having Choices with God is that it is never too late to make a Choice. If you have done wrong; you still have a Choice. If you have abused your body, you still have a Choice; No matter what state you are currently in, you still have a Choice. Get up and Choose God and Choose Life.
